Microsemi and The Science Fair Foundation of British Columbia Celebrate 19th Year of Science Fun Run with Microsemi as Title Sponsor

The Science Fair Foundation of British Columbia (SFF BC) is pleased to announce that Microsemi Corporation  continues as the title sponsor of The Microsemi Science Fair Fun Run, one of the largest events in BC’s technology sector. SFF BC and Microsemi aim to have over 1,300 participants celebrating the Fun Run’s 19th anniversary. The 19th annual Fun Run will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Athlete’s Village Plaza, Vancouver and attracts participants from the technology community, academia and K-12 schools.

 
The Microsemi Science Fair Fun Run is the largest timed 5K Fun Run in the province and a major event in Vancouver. Teams of five or more are invited to register now, and can customize their technical t-shirts with a team logo. Families can meet Science Fair finalists, view their award-winning projects and enjoy activities provided by Microsemi and other sponsors as they await the results and prizes at the awards ceremony. All registered Fun Run participants are entered into the grand prize draw and will receive free admission to TELUS World of Science on race day.
 
The early bird deadline is April 30th. Adults 19 and older can register for only $40, youth 18 and under can register for only $25. Entrants can also participate in the 1K Mini Fun Run for children with an accompanying adult, with an entry fee of $20 each. To register online, visit www.sciencefairs.ca/funrun. All proceeds from the event go to The Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment to support the promotion and development of The Science Fair Program throughout the province.
