Award Method

The scholarships are awarded through participation at the Regional Science Fairs with the following criteria:

To be awarded to a Grade 11 or 12 student(s) who has developed a science and technology innovation with the potential to benefit British Columbia. The winner(s) must be selected for CWSF 2014 and to receive the award, he/she must enroll full-time up on graduation in a ascience and technology program in a British Columbia post-secondary institution.

Annual Deadline

August 30 - Deadline for students to submit their Form 4.0 Acceptance, Permission and Release Form including required documents from the post secondary institution they are registered in.

Award Value

The scholarships are valued at $2,000 per awarded entry. Through partnerships with the Northern Development Initiative Trust and Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust, scholarships are valued at $4,000 in select regions.


To be eligible to receive the scholarship, a winning student must fulfill all of the following conditions:

  1. The student must be enrolled at a British Columbia post-secondary institution in one of the following programs immediately following grade 12 graduation: Science | Technology | Engineering | Mathematics | Digital Arts+Media+Design | Business Entrepreneurship
  2. All required forms and documentation must be submitted within the deadlines stated, no exceptions.
