Digital Marketing & Program Coordinator

Science Fair Foundation BC is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Digital Marketing & Program Coordinator to help us transition one of our primary in-person programs to be a hybrid in-person/virtual event, and help develop support programming to exist entirely online. In this position, you will contribute to the design and construction of a virtual event framework, with a keen sense of how the virtual event will co-exist with the in-person counterpart. You will also be heavily involved in the digital marketing of the event and support programming, where you will design and deliver timely digital marketing assets and communication for our social accounts, website, and other online platforms to reach our key stakeholders all across BC and the Yukon.   

The successful applicant must be able to work remotely. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, goals, objectives and policies 

  • Research, propose and manage online platforms appropriate for the needs of existing programs that are being transitioned online 

  • Assist with producing digital marketing materials including graphics, newsletters, website and social media content, forms and guides 

  • In collaboration with other members of the team, manage the ongoing planning and maintenance of the website and social media activities 

  • Provide administrative, operational and IT support for key stakeholders and partners using various digital platforms (the majority of our stakeholders are in different parts of BC and the Yukon) 

  • Work with team members to ensure consistent messaging and approach for external audiences 

  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the organization 

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends when required 

  • Additional tasks as required 


Experience and Skills: 

  • Some post-secondary education with experience in program development, online marketing, communication, or relevant discipline 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills 

  • Excellent customer service skills; able to form lasting relationships and provide effective support digitally 

  • Ability to effectively work and communicate (written and verbal) independently, digitally, and as part of a team  

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn 

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 an asset

  • Experience with the Adobe creative/design suite (or equivalent) 



This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. In order to be eligible for this position, you must: 

  • Be between the ages of 15 and 30, inclusive, at the start of employment; and
