Science Fair Foundation BC receives Canada Post Community Foundation support

September | 2021

Vancouver, BC - Today, Science Fair Foundation BC has received $25,000 from the Canada Post Community Foundation to help fund science fairs across BC and Yukon.

Science fairs in British Columbia and the Yukon inspire and enable students to progress with their projects from the classroom, school, district fairs to regional, national and international competitions.

Funds will help make science fairs more accessible and help students who might not otherwise be able to participate take part.

“We are so thankful for Canada Post Community Foundation’s support. We know that participating in science fairs helps young people ignite their passion for STEM and opens doors for their future. These funds will ensure our programming can reach more youth,” said Science Fair Foundation BC’s Executive Director Madeleine Guenette.

“The Canada Post Community Foundation is proud to help organizations that are working hard to make a difference in the lives of Canadian children and youth,” said Doug Ettinger, Canada Post President and CEO. “Through the generosity of our customers during our annual campaign, we’re able to fund incredible organizations that are focused on the complex and growing needs of young people in communities across the country.”
