Canada-Wide Science Fair 2023 Comes To Edmonton, Bringing Together Canada’s Brightest Young Minds

The upcoming Canada-Wide Science Fair 2023, to be held in Edmonton, will bring together over 500 of Canada's most promising young scientists to showcase their innovative projects and compete for top prizes.

Edmonton, AB (May 15th, 2023) -  Get ready for an explosion of creativity, innovation, and scientific breakthroughs! The Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF), Canada’s largest annual youth science and technology event, will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, from May 14-19, 2023. The fair aims to convene the nation's most talented young scientists, who will demonstrate their pioneering projects and contend for prestigious awards.

Over 500 projects covering various topics, from biology and chemistry to physics and engineering, will be displayed at the Edmonton Convention Centre. These projects have been created by students in grades 7 to 12 who have won regional science fairs across Canada.

56 students are attending the Canada-Wide Fair from BC and Yukon this year. “We are so proud to have such a strong representation of young scientists and innovators from British Columbia and Yukon this year,” said Madeleine Guenette, Executive Director of Science Fair Foundation BC.

Throughout the week, participants will engage in various events, workshops, and activities designed to inspire and motivate young scientists. The fair will culminate in an awards ceremony on May 18, where top prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding projects.
