VANCOUVER, BC (October 30th, 2024) - The Science Fair Foundation BC is thrilled to announce the exceptional Finalists for the 2024 Youth Innovation Showcase. Five projects from each age category will advance to the next round. At the Youth Innovation Showcase Awards Show on November 27th, 2024, two Finalists will be selected as the winners of a $5,000 grand prize in their respective age categories, giving them the chance to further their innovations at a wider scale.
“These projects display exceptional talent and innovation, which is an exciting evolution that gives insight into how the next generation thinks about the future,” said Sarah Prade, Executive Director of The Science Fair Foundation BC, “The Youth Innovation Showcase is about identifying problems in our society and solving them through creative solutions. The talent we have witnessed here illustrates that and we are excited to see what this final round brings.”
By envisioning what a future in STEM could entail, the Youth Innovation Showcase empowers young people to recognize that their ideas and solutions to everyday challenges can create a meaningful impact in the real world. Through collaboration with industry leaders and academia, these young innovators have had the chance to present their groundbreaking ideas and gain invaluable insights from experts.
